Tariq Nasir has been exploring issues of equality and diversity most
of his life. Born in New York, to an American mother and a Palestinian father,
Mr. Nasir has had experience with cross-cultural communication since
birth. He grew up in Palestine until just after the 1967 war, when as
refugees, his family fled to Jordan. He received his degree in
International Business in England. After a successful career in
banking and international finance, he retired in 2004 to find his voice as a
filmmaker. His film belonging has received critical acclaim at several film
festivals around the world.
